The Emotiva IPS-1 has a simple appearance that, at first glance, seems like a companion to the Ultra Series products, but looks can be deceiving. This high tech amplifier is the little brother of the critically acclaimed MPS-1 with a fixed 7 channel configuration that, although not quite as powerful as the MPS-1, features the same cutting edge Class H design and minimalist approach in the signal path. This is the wolf in sheep’s clothing that will bring any home entertainment system to life.

With an unbelievable 120dB of separation between channels, low THD, and servo controlled DC offset, there’s no chance of any adjacent channel information mingling with your front or center channels. The lack of transient "smearing" in your music or movies helps to envelope you in the listening experience and reduces listening fatigue.

What does it sound like? Like its big brother, the MPS-1, the IPS-1 is a very neutral sounding amp with virtually no coloration of its own. It has a smooth, extended and detailed top end without artificial “etching” of the high frequencies. High damping factor provides excellent driver control and unparalleled low frequency authority and extension. Exceptional dynamics round out this impressive amplifier.

The IPS-1 contains seven identical mono block power amplifier modules. Each module has its own toroidal power transformer and power supply circuitry. Like the MPS-1, all control paths an housekeeping command lines are optically isolated for complete channel to channel isolation.

The IPS-1 shares the same basic design as the MPS-1 and its performance reveals this fact. Our cool running, highly efficient class H amplifier topology puts more of the input power to work driving your speakers instead of wasting it as heat.
