The UOM-6.2 has been optimized for outdoor use. The powerful 6.5" woofer features a butyl surround with a blended polypropylene cone ruggedized for the elements. This high performance mid/woofer is coupled with a special version of our 1" silk dome tweeter and produces an extremely well balanced and powerful soundstage. Dispersion and imaging are optimized for outdoor use with the addition of a special phase plug that enhances off axis high frequency performance. The low resonance molded plastic enclosure is designed for the rigors of outdoor use and features stainless steel and brass hardware, along with a painted aluminum grill for many years of corrosion and rust resistant service. Additionally, heavy duty gold plated binding posts are used for trouble free connections. Attractive, fully adjustable mounting brackets are in included. Rear mounted, threaded inserts are also provided for third party universal mounts for maximum installation flexibility. Like all Emotiva loudspeakers, the UOM-6.2 uses a premium LC crossover network with high quality air core inductors and precision film capacitors in all critical signal paths.
